Mallorca continues to explore options in the winter transfer market. After securing a promising future talent in Justin Kalumba (21 years old) with a modest fee to Angers, the club’s sporting management is now focused on acquiring another winger, this time with an immediate impact.

One of the players on Pablo Ortells’ radar is Argentine winger Benja Domínguez, currently with Bologna in Italy’s Serie A. Domínguez is keen on relocating to Mallorca to participate in the latter part of the domestic competition.

The 22-year-old winger, originally from La Plata, is seeking a move in January to gain more prominence in the second half of the season. However, as noted by Matteo Moretto, his current club, Bologna, is not open to releasing the young Argentine winger at this time.

Domínguez has logged just 410 minutes across four competitions this season—Serie A, Europa League, Italian Supercup, and Coppa Italia—recording two assists in 12 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.

In contrast, his previous season (2024/25) proved to be much more fruitful. He amassed over 1,400 minutes in his first year in Europe, participating in 28 matches across Serie A and the Coppa Italia, where he netted four goals and provided three assists. His team ultimately triumphed in the cup final against Milan, winning 1-0.
