In an interview with De Telegraaf, Overmars stated, “I have a soft spot for Ajax and Amsterdam, but for me, that chapter is closed. I am currently enjoying my work at Antwerp, where I am under contract for another year and a half. I intend to fulfill that commitment. Our goal has been to ensure the club’s financial stability. The stadium is ready, and now we must focus on rebuilding the sporting aspect.”
