He began his journey in professional football in 2010 with Vitesse, where he made a total of 156 appearances. Additionally, he played 118 matches for PSV in the Netherlands and had stints abroad with Chelsea, AC Milan, and Stoke City. He also earned eight caps for the Dutch national team.

When asked about the moments that will stay with him forever, Van Ginkel shares, “My debut in professional football, my first appearance for the national team, the transfer to Chelsea, playing in the Champions League, and of course, the celebrations at PSV,” he remarked during the conversation with the ED.
