Celtic midfielder Maria McAneny has earned her first call-up to the Scotland women’s national team for friendly matches against Ukraine and China.

The 21-year-old has previously represented Scotland at the Under-23 level. Under the guidance of head coach Melissa Andreatta, the team will face Ukraine in Jerez, Spain, on Friday at 11:00 GMT, followed by a match against China at Estadio Municipal de Chapin on December 2 at 18:00.

Last month, the Scotland women’s team experienced a defeat at home against Switzerland, following a victory over Morocco, with both matches being friendly encounters.

Looking ahead, Scotland is set to compete in World Cup qualifying matches in 2026 against Belgium, Israel, and Luxembourg.

The squad for the upcoming friendlies includes:
