Celtic midfielder Maria McAneny has received her first call-up to the Scotland women’s national team for upcoming friendly matches against Ukraine and China.

The 21-year-old player, who has previously represented Scotland at the Under-23 level, will join her teammates for two matches in Jerez, Spain. The first match against Ukraine is scheduled for Friday at 11:00 GMT, followed by a game against China on December 2 at 18:00.

The Scotland team recently faced Switzerland at home, suffering a defeat after securing an away victory against Morocco, both of which were friendly matches.

Looking ahead, Scotland is set to compete in World Cup qualifying matches in 2026, facing Belgium, Israel, and Luxembourg.
