Matías Ordinas, a promising right-back from Menorca born in 2010, has been called up to represent the Spanish U16 national team. The team will face Scotland in two matches at Albir Garden in Alicante on December 2 and 4, with kick-off times set for 15:00 and 10:00, respectively. This will be the final call-up of the year for the U16 squad.

Ordinas, who made his debut last season with the U15 team, arrives at this selection in excellent form, having started nine matches in the Cadete Autonómica League of the Balearic Islands, where he has also scored two goals.

In other news for RCD Mallorca, fellow youth player Damià Lozano, who had previously been called up to the U16 team, was included in the preliminary list but ultimately did not make the final selection.

This development underscores the growing presence of Mallorca’s youth players in the national setup, sending a strong message of support for the club’s youth academy.
