Mauro Arambarri Discusses Getafe s Current Dynamics and Upcoming ChallengesMauro Arambarri Discusses Getafe s Current Dynamics and Upcoming Challenges

omidbasir- Mauro Arambarri is a fundamental pillar of Getafe. The Uruguayan midfielder has proven instrumental over the past two seasons, emerging as the top scorer during this period. In a recent press conference, he discussed the state of the team, the upcoming match against Sevilla, the arrival of new reinforcements, and comments made by Pau Navarro regarding the playing style of the Madrid club.

Regarding the reinforcements, Arambarri stated, “As I mentioned before, their arrival is positive. The team needed players who bring tenacity and dedication, giving 100%. It’s evident they are putting in their all. Having been with the club for a long time, I am truly grateful for their arrival.”

On Pau Navarro’s comments, he remarked, “I have no opinion on that; it’s in the past. Our focus is now on Sevilla, which is what truly matters.”

Addressing the changes in the locker room, Arambarri noted, “We were going through a challenging streak, facing many negative results, and there were matches where we couldn’t secure any points. We analyzed what was going wrong, and one of the key issues was our organization. We corrected that, and things started to improve. Scoring was initially difficult for us, but defensively we have become more organized, which is crucial for Getafe.”

Reflecting on his performance, he shared, “I feel very good; I have matured a lot. I am now better at managing games. Previously, I wanted to be everywhere, but often I wasn’t where I needed to be. Now, I handle that better. Scoring goals boosts my confidence for upcoming matches. I am very pleased with my current form but remain open to continuous improvement.”

Discussing the team’s dynamics, Arambarri commented, “LaLiga is highly competitive; it would be a mistake to think we are close to our goals. We need to remain diligent as every team is fighting hard. As Getafe, we have learned from previous seasons that overconfidence can be detrimental. We must manage our situation well and continue to secure points, which is essential.”

On the criticisms surrounding their playing style, he remarked, “This has been a topic for years. While it used to be that Getafe was the only team playing this way, now nearly all teams employ similar tactics and receive praise for it. I’ve become accustomed to hearing various opinions, including excuses when teams struggle against us.”

Regarding the intensity required in their matches, Arambarri stated, “Playing this way is not easy; one needs to be in excellent physical condition. The coaching staff manages pre-season training effectively. There will be moments when things don’t go as planned, but the team’s intensity and commitment have remained intact during my time here.”

Commenting on the camaraderie among players, particularly with his Uruguayan and Argentine teammates, he expressed, “We share a strong bond; there’s a lot of interaction over mate and asado. I am very pleased with their company, and it is crucial that they give their all on the pitch.”

Discussing the significance of their home ground, he emphasized, “It is vital to maintain our organization and aggression. The fans are energized when they see players running and winning duels. It is important for us to keep up that momentum.”

On the upcoming match against Sevilla, Arambarri highlighted its importance: “As I mentioned, it’s essential for us to secure points in this match. We know Sevilla is a formidable opponent, and although things have not gone their way recently, they have outstanding players. It’s a big club that will come to win. We need to remain organized.”

Finally, regarding his aspirations with the Uruguay national team, he concluded, “I strive to perform well here; ultimately, it’s the coach’s decision. I am very happy at Getafe and feel I am doing things right.”
