Although there were immediate rumors linking him to Ajax, recent reports from De Telegraaf confirm that he will not pursue that opportunity.

Huiberts stated, “I feel that it is time to pass the baton this summer after eleven wonderful but intense seasons.” Ajax is currently searching for a successor to Alex Kroes. However, sources indicate that Huiberts will categorically not be moving to Ajax and is instead concentrating on potential ventures abroad. Additionally, a move to Feyenoord, where General Director Dennis te Kloese continues to juggle the responsibilities of both the general and technical director positions, is also not on the table.
