Memphis Depay: A Potential Target for PSV in 2026

Memphis Depay is certainly a player for PSV to monitor as they look ahead to 2026, according to transfer journalist Mounir Boualin from SoccerNews during the podcast Transfermind. His contract with Corinthians is set to expire at the end of this season.

Discussions regarding a new contract have been postponed. Marcelo Paz, the new sporting director of Corinthians, has already communicated with the forward about the possibility of extending their collaboration. In an interview with CNN Brazil, Paz stated, “He was very important for Corinthians in 2025, contributing with goals and decisive actions in championships. We have not yet initiated negotiations for a contract extension, as we are still in the team-building phase. Therefore, that is being deferred.”

Regarding a potential return to PSV, Boualin remarked, “Memphis is often lightly linked with PSV during every transfer window, especially when they are in search of a forward. At this moment, I don’t find it particularly realistic, but in football, one can never say never. However, I don’t believe it will happen this winter.”
