Michael Carrick has confidently stated that he has “no concerns” regarding the managerial uncertainty at Old Trafford potentially affecting Manchester United’s performance as the season concludes.

United has positioned itself favorably for a Champions League qualification after securing victories in Carrick’s first three matches as interim manager. The calls for the former England midfielder to be appointed permanently have intensified following notable wins against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Carrick emphasized that the questions surrounding next season’s managerial role would not impede the team’s focus for the remainder of the campaign. “The players have been spot on and fully focused,” he remarked. “We’re all aware of the bigger situation and what might happen. As a player, you focus on what’s ahead of you, striving to achieve your objectives.”

He further added, “I’ve got no concerns. The lads have exceeded expectations. We are focused on improving and reaching our goals. It’s a gradual process, but we aim for a strong finish to the season.”

Looking ahead, United is set to face Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday, followed by an away match against West Ham on Tuesday. With the team already eliminated from the FA Cup, they will have a 12-day gap after the West Ham game before their next fixture against Everton on February 23.

The club has opted not to organize a lucrative friendly match overseas during this break. However, Carrick disclosed that the possibility remains open for future scheduling in March and April. “At this stage, there is nothing confirmed,” he noted. “We’re aware of the schedule, and there are opportunities we can explore. Discussions are ongoing.”
