In a recent match against Fortuna Sittard, where Ajax triumphed 4-1, Godts scored two goals and provided an assist. However, Kraaij noted, “The top clubs are not focusing on matches like Ajax versus Fortuna Sittard; they are watching Ajax against Feyenoord or Ajax against PSV. I mean, we do not have the best defenders in the Netherlands. I am not trying to downplay Godts—I’m a big fan of his. However, I think the elite clubs are becoming less interested in games like Ajax versus Fortuna.”
