Mikel Goti has returned to group training with Real Sociedad today after being sidelined for over two weeks. Meanwhile, Igor Zubeldia has missed another day, leaving him with only three training sessions to prepare for the match against Villarreal this Sunday. Zubeldia was unable to participate last Saturday at El Sadar due to muscular discomfort, which the club attributes to his previous involvement with the Euskadi national team.

Goti is now back under the guidance of coach Sergio, who has utilized him sparingly this season, as evidenced by his mere 65 minutes of play in La Liga. Given the fierce competition in the midfield, it appears that Goti may continue to have limited opportunities.

Consequently, the coach is focusing more on Zubeldia’s potential return, as Zubeldia had been a consistent starter until his recent absence. His replacement, Duje Caleta-Car, did not impress during the last match. The team must now wait to determine if Zubeldia will be fit to play, and if he is unavailable, it remains to be seen whether Sergio will continue with Caleta-Car or opt for Aritz Elustondo.
