Moussa Diarrá Joins Anderlecht on Loan Until Season’s End

omidbasir- Deportivo Alavés has reached an agreement with Anderlecht for the loan of Moussa Diarrá, who will join the Belgian Pro League until the end of the season. The Belgian club retains an option to purchase the defender.

Diarrá joined Alavés in the summer of 2024 from Toulouse. Last season, he participated in 26 league matches; however, this season he has seen limited involvement under coach Eduardo Coudet. His situation within the team became more complicated after he left a training session alongside Mariano before a cup match against Sevilla, upon learning he would not be in the starting lineup.

Since that incident, Diarrá has not been included in any matchday squad, similar to the Real Madrid forward, yet he has continued to train regularly in Ibaia. The winter transfer window has presented an opportune moment for both parties to part ways, and Anderlecht’s interest has expedited his departure from Vitoria.

Diarrá’s exit will allow Alavés to increase its salary cap, enabling them to seek potential reinforcements. This will not be the only departure this week, as Carlos Vicente’s impending transfer to Birmingham is also on the horizon. The exit process is gaining momentum at Paseo de Cervantes, leading to a concerted effort to expedite the various incoming options that Sergio Fernández has been working on.
