Vedat Muriqi, the striker for RCD Mallorca, who scored a hat-trick that secured a 3-2 victory against Athletic Club, expressed his happiness in Mallorca. He disclosed that the sporting director, Pablo Ortells, informed him that he would not be sold.

“I am happy here, I have a contract, and things are as they are. If a striker scores many goals, offers will come in. However, I am content here, and the club will decide my future, along with my input,” Muriqi stated after netting his first hat-trick on the island.

“I spoke with Pablo Ortells a couple of days ago and left the decision in his hands. I mentioned that if my sale would help the club remain in the league, then I would agree, but I am delighted to stay. He assured me that I wouldn’t be sold, and I am truly happy here,” he added.

Regarding his performance, Muriqi expressed satisfaction, noting, “I am very happy because I knew I was on a good streak, but it was not enough to secure victories. Now, I have my first hat-trick with Mallorca, and securing those three points is even more significant.”

“Throughout the week, we discussed the need to show what we had been missing—a team that fights for every ball, as that is how you win matches. We are aware of our shortcomings, and these three points will help us turn our fortunes around in the standings,” he concluded.
