Ángel Torres Discusses Transfer Challenges Ahead of Rayo Vallecano vs. Getafe Derby

Ángel Torres spoke ahead of the derby between Rayo Vallecano and Getafe, addressing the challenges the Getafe club faces in making signings due to the financial fair play regulations imposed by LaLiga. The Getafe president indicated that the ability to acquire new players in this transfer window “will depend on the ongoing situation concerning Uche.”

Torres appealed for “sensibility” and “common sense” to resolve this issue: “I hope it can be sorted out. Getafe has a surplus and is able to sign players. What happens with Uche will be clear in June, and that will be a different scenario,” he stated.

Regarding Carlos Martín’s signing with Getafe, which ultimately did not materialize as he joined Rayo Vallecano instead, the president emphasized that “he is a good player” and noted that with their current squad being “thin,” Bordalás would likely have welcomed him.
