Niclas Fullkrug made his debut for the German national team in 2022.

Italian club AC Milan has acquired West Ham forward Niclas Fullkrug on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to extend the deal permanently.

The 32-year-old forward joined West Ham in a £27 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2024. However, Fullkrug faced difficulties with form and fitness during his time in London, managing to score only three goals in 29 appearances.

Reflecting on his experience, Fullkrug expressed on Instagram, “The past one and a half years didn’t go as I – and surely you all – had imagined. I want to thank you for your support, even when things weren’t always easy. There are truly special people at WHU, and I am very grateful for everyone I met and the relationships I was able to build. Wishing you all the best for the rest of the season.”

Fullkrug arrived in northern Italy last week and has already begun training with his new teammates.

Currently, AC Milan sits in second place in Serie A, trailing their rivals Inter by just one point, while West Ham finds themselves in 18th place in the Premier League, four points adrift of safety.
