Nico Dijkshoorn Critiques John de Wolf s Role at FeyenoordNico Dijkshoorn Critiques John de Wolf s Role at Feyenoord

In his latest column for Voetbal International, Nico Dijkshoorn directs his criticism towards John de Wolf, who holds the title of ‘culture guardian’ at Feyenoord. However, Dijkshoorn raises an important question: what does this role actually entail?

Dijkshoorn asserts, “One of the worst decisions ever made by a Feyenoord coach was appointing Sem Steijn as captain.” He continues, “For new coaches at Feyenoord, it must be incredibly frustrating to have someone sitting next to them on the bench who is constantly monitoring every change they wish to implement.”

He further speculates, “I am unsure what kind of agreement Feyenoord has with John de Wolf, but it appears he has managed to secure a lifetime contract. Perhaps he is compensated with groceries or is entitled to a yearly free interior renovation of his home. It has to be something along those lines, or maybe John possesses insider knowledge about De Kuip that must remain confidential.”
