Oblak s Reflections on Recent Match and Upcoming ChallengesOblak s Reflections on Recent Match and Upcoming Challenges

Jan Oblak once again proved to be the savior for Atlético Madrid with a remarkable save from a header by Dela in the second half. After the match, he expressed his disappointment regarding the team’s draw against Levante during an interview with DAZN, acknowledging the impact of fatigue and the limited size of the squad.

“When we don’t win, the feelings are not good. We have felt the fatigue, especially in this challenging January. Our squad is relatively small for the number of matches we are playing. We were not looking for a point; we aimed for three but were unable to achieve that,” Oblak stated.

Regarding Sorloth’s condition, who was taken to the hospital after a head collision with Matías Moreno, Oblak remarked, “It was quite a scare. He had a significant injury on his head. The latest information we have indicates that he is doing well. He is a strong and resilient individual, and I’m confident he will recover quickly. What matters most is that he heals properly.”

Oblak remains optimistic about the team’s response and is focused on regaining victory in their upcoming Copa del Rey match against Real Betis on Thursday. He stated, “This past week has been tough. Now we need to recover both mentally and physically because Thursday is a crucial match for us. We must win and advance to the next round. We have to regroup, maintain our faith, and believe. Although our results have not been ideal, I am sure the team will step up and deliver an outstanding performance on Thursday. We need to progress past this round.”
