Outkast and MUNDIAL Celebrate 25 Years of Stankonia with Limited Edition Capsule

Outkast and MUNDIAL have joined forces to launch a limited edition capsule collection celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic hip-hop album, ‘Stankonia’. This collaboration marks a significant moment as the Atlanta legends prepare for their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this weekend.

André 3000 and Big Boi, the members of Outkast, have teamed up with MUNDIAL, a pioneering football and lifestyle magazine, to blend the worlds of hip-hop and soccer. This unique partnership gives birth to a fictional soccer club, Stankonia F.C., inspired by their groundbreaking album, which reshaped the landscape of hip-hop music.

Released 25 years ago, ‘Stankonia’ is a bold, experimental album that showcases an expansive range of sounds, featuring 24 tracks that have left a lasting impact on the genre. The Grammy Award-winning record is celebrated for its creative freedom, as it seamlessly blends funk, rock, psychedelia, and rave influences.

The new capsule collection includes a retro-styled soccer jersey, along with a hoodie and t-shirts, all designed with elements reflective of the album’s cover art. The jersey features a classic 90s collar, Outkast’s logo, and the iconic black and white Stars and Stripes, topped with the phrase ‘Foreva Eva’ from their hit single ‘Ms. Jackson’. The number 25 and the name Stankonia are prominently displayed, paying homage to the album’s legacy.

Additionally, the short-sleeved t-shirt features a custom Stankonia F.C. crest paired with MUNDIAL’s logo, while the long-sleeve edition showcases the club’s name in a gothic typeface. The black hoodie features the memorable lyrics ‘The sky is falling, ain’t no need to panic’ from the track ‘So Fresh, So Clean’.
