omidbasir- El Oviedo resumed training with optimism as several key players made promising returns. The session on Tuesday included Santi Cazorla, Ovie Ejaria, and Josip Brekalo, who all participated fully and are likely to be available for the upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano this Sunday.

The spotlight, however, was on Álvaro Lemos, who stepped back onto the field with his teammates for the first time in eight months after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Lemos celebrated a personal triumph following a long and quiet recovery process.

Meanwhile, coach Luis Carrión awaits updates on his international players to determine the squad for the upcoming match. Luka Ilic, David Carmo, Rahim Alhassanne, Kwasi Sibo, and Fede Viñas are all expected to return after representing their countries.

Cazorla had already trained with the group on Friday, while Ejaria and Brekalo completed their first full session since recovering from respective muscle injuries. All three are in contention for inclusion in the matchday squad.

Álvaro Lemos’s situation is particularly noteworthy. The club extended his contract to allow him to complete his recovery; however, he currently does not have a jersey number and is expected to seek a new opportunity in the winter transfer market. Nevertheless, his return to the training pitch is a significant morale boost for a team that has witnessed his daily determination since March 6.
