Owen Wijndal’s Future at Ajax in Question Following Red Card Incident

Owen Wijndal is currently at the center of attention following his red card during a match against his former club, AZ, for a foul on Wouter Goes. This incident seems to signal that his tenure at Ajax may be coming to an end.

Chris Woerts has suggested that the left-back should consider his options as his days at Ajax could be numbered.

So either it’s false, or the people who have mentioned it haven’t communicated anything to me. If they’re true leaders, they would tell me directly. I have not heard anything. As far as I’m concerned, I want to stay at Ajax. I’ve reiterated this several times. I won’t just be pushed out. Ajax is a wonderful club, and I enjoy playing here. As long as I’m here, I will give my best effort.”
