Pablo Fornals Included in Squad for Upcoming Match Despite InjuryPablo Fornals Included in Squad for Upcoming Match Despite Injury

Despite training separately at the gym on Saturday, Pablo Fornals has made it onto Manuel Pellegrini’s roster for the upcoming La Liga match against Valencia at La Cartuja. The Castellón native sustained a severe stamp on his foot during the Europa League match against Feyenoord on Thursday, yet is expected to be fit to start.

Pellegrini will need to navigate this match in the 22nd round of the championship with a lengthy list of absences, as none of the seven injured players—Bellerín, Junior, Amrabat, Isco, Lo Celso, Riquelme, and Cucho Hernández—will be returning. Additionally, Natan will be unavailable due to suspension, having received his fifth yellow card of the season in the recent match against Alavés, further limiting defensive options.

Cédric Bakambu remains part of the squad as negotiations for his departure from the club continue, with interest from Alavés, Oviedo, and clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia. The squad features 19 players, including youth player Iván Corralejo, who joins regulars Ángel Ortiz and Pablo García as representatives from the reserve team.
