Pellegrini Announces Squad for LaLiga Match Against OviedoPellegrini Announces Squad for LaLiga Match Against Oviedo

Following the final training session of the week, Manuel Pellegrini, the head coach of Real Betis, has announced the list of 22 players called up for the match on matchday 19 of LaLiga EA Sports. This fixture marks the end of the first half of the season, with Betis set to face Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere tomorrow. Notably, Cédric Bakambu’s name is absent from the squad.

The Congolese forward returned yesterday after participating in the Africa Cup of Nations and initially trained alone in the gym. By Friday, he was able to join his teammates for regular training on the pitch. However, the coach, known as ‘El Ingeniero,’ has determined that Bakambu needs to “catch up on his physical conditioning.” After consulting with the medical staff regarding his fitness, it was decided that he would not travel with the team and will instead be reserved for upcoming matches, starting with a cup fixture on Thursday.

With Bakambu’s omission, a total of four players will miss the game. In addition to Bakambu, Isco Alarcón continues his rehabilitation with physiotherapists following ankle arthroscopy, marking the only injury absence. Furthermore, international players Amrabat and Abde will not participate as they are competing in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal against Cameroon, with Morocco as the host nation.

The squad is as follows:

**Goalkeepers:** Valles, Adrián, Pau López

**Defenders:** Bellerín, Ortiz, Bartra, Diego Llorente, Natan, Valentín Gómez, Ricardo Rodríguez, Junior

**Midfielders:** Altimira, Marc Roca, Deossa, Fornals, Lo Celso, Antony, Ruibal, Riquelme

**Forwards:** Chimy Ávila, Pablo García, Cucho Hernández.
