Peter Bosz expressed significant relief and happiness that Joey Veerman has ultimately decided to finish the season with PSV. In an interview with Eindhovens Dagblad, Bosz acknowledged that the midfielder was on the verge of a transfer to Fenerbahçe but ultimately opted to stay.

A few weeks ago, it appeared almost certain that Veerman would leave PSV midway through the season. Fenerbahçe was close to finalizing the transfer, prompting PSV to look for potential replacements. Bosz remarked, “From what I understood, a club was willing to pay the release clause of over 20 million euros. We did not have control over the situation. I am extremely pleased that the transfer did not go through.”
