Peter Bosz has officially extended his contract with PSV Eindhoven until mid-2028. Previously, there were rumors suggesting that the head coach was waiting for an offer from the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), which ultimately did not materialize. During a discussion on radio station JOE, Bosz shared his ambitions regarding the national team coach position. Interestingly, he mentioned that he would prefer to coach another national team over the Netherlands.

On Sunday, it was announced that Bosz renewed his expiring contract with PSV. In his conversation with Coen and Sander on JOE, he addressed the possibility of an “Oranje clause” in his new agreement, stating, “I was once asked if I would like to be the national coach, and I honestly replied that it would be an enjoyable opportunity and a great honor.”

Valentijn Driessen expressed his disbelief that the KNVB did not make any attempt to secure Bosz. According to the journalist, he would be the ideal successor to Ronald Koeman. Driessen noted in his column for De Telegraaf, “The management at PSV, under Marcel Brands and Earnest Stewart, has demonstrated strong leadership, as evidenced by the contract extension of their top coach, Peter Bosz. While this renewal is excellent news for the reigning champions, it poses a setback for the KNVB.”
