Premier League Team and Manager of the Week Insights from Troy DeeneyPremier League Team and Manager of the Week Insights from Troy Deeney

After each round of Premier League matches this season, BBC football pundit Troy Deeney will present his selections for the Team and Manager of the Week.

Here are his choices for this week. Do you agree? We welcome your thoughts in the comments section below.

**Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford):** Playing with ten men away at Aston Villa, Kelleher has not only established himself as the team’s number one goalkeeper but has also demonstrated why he made the decision to leave Liverpool. While some suggested he should wait for his chance behind Alisson, Kelleher opted for a fresh start and has excelled in a team that suits his style.

**Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth):** Senesi has emerged as one of the standout players of the season. He is consistently solid, completing his tasks without unnecessary flair.

**Gabriel (Arsenal):** Although Leeds put up a strong fight, Gabriel’s performance was solid and dependable. He effectively dealt with threats and showcased his ability during set-pieces, marking his best defensive display of the season.

**Kristoffer Ajer (Brentford):** Ajer is a robust defender who showed intensity right from the first minutes of the match. While his early celebrations for tackles are not to everyone’s taste, his continued commitment and willingness to put his body on the line are commendable.

**Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea):** Scoring the goal that completed a remarkable comeback, Fernandez has faced unjust criticism. Despite the pressures associated with his price tag and World Cup fame, he is a skilled midfielder and a competent captain, effectively managing the game during challenging moments.

**Florian Wirtz (Liverpool):** After months of anticipation, Wirtz has begun to show his true potential over the past six weeks. With exceptional passing ability, he is now contributing goals and assists, demonstrating impressive form.

**Alex Scott (Bournemouth):** Despite a challenging match against a strong Wolves side, Scott has made a significant return after his time with England. As he aims for a spot in the World Cup squad, the latter part of the season promises to be intriguing for him.

**Noni Madueke (Arsenal):** Facing the challenge of starting only minutes before kickoff, Madueke displayed remarkable focus. Although his goal was technically an own goal, his overall contribution with a goal and an assist earned him a place on the team.

**Habib Diarra (Sunderland):** Diarra had a standout performance, effectively contributing to what can be seen as two goals—one scored and one an own goal. He was instrumental in the team’s offensive play against Burnley.

**Dominic Solanke (Tottenham):** Solanke’s two goals were unusual, with the first being questionable. However, his second goal, a clever backheel lob over the towering Gianluigi Donnarumma, showcased his talent. As he continues to regain form, the question remains whether he can secure a spot in the England squad.

**Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool):** Ekitike has been a strong contender for Signing of the Season. With another two goals, he continues to grow in confidence and performance, making it challenging for Alexander Isak to reclaim his position.

**Mikel Arteta (Arsenal):** Arteta orchestrated an impressive away performance at Elland Road. Despite the injury to Bukayo Saka during warm-up, he made strategic decisions, including starting Noni Madueke, who repaid his faith with a strong performance.
