PSV Celebrates Victory Amidst Coach’s Critique of Joey Veerman

The atmosphere at PSV was buoyant on Wednesday evening following their 4-1 cup victory against SC Heerenveen. Midfielder Joey Veerman expressed delight at the win, yet soon faced unexpected criticism from his coach, Peter Bosz.

In an interview conducted by Hans Kraaij Junior, both Veerman and Bosz shared the spotlight. When Kraaij attempted to praise Veerman in front of Bosz, he received a surprising response. “Joey Veerman: that is a somewhat different Veerman than a year ago,” Kraaij remarked. Bosz, however, countered with a blunt assessment: “I found this to be one of the worst performances I have seen from him. I did not think he played well today, and he knows it very well himself.” Kraaij noted, “But overall, he does recover a lot of balls.”
