PSV Considers Signing Additional Striker Following Injury SetbacksPSV Considers Signing Additional Striker Following Injury Setbacks

PSV is contemplating the acquisition of an additional striker following the injuries to Alassane Pléa, Ruben van Bommel, Myron Boadu, and now Ricardo Pepi, who will be sidelined for seven weeks due to a broken forearm.

The prospect of a reunion with Joël Piroe appears minimal. According to reports from The Athletic, Piroe is inclined to continue fighting for his position at Leeds United in the Premier League. Furthermore, transfer journalist Mounir Boualin indicated in SoccerNews’ Transfermind podcast that Piroe is not considered a top candidate for PSV.

Aad de Mos has previously proposed Thijs Dallinga as a viable option for PSV in an interview with Eindhovens Dagblad, stating, “There is one player I believe would be suitable. He possesses a profile that aligns well with PSV and excels in the penalty area. He has already scored several goals in Serie A and performed admirably, which is promising. I think Zirkzee is unattainable, and Piroe will remain with Leeds United.” This latter point has now been nearly confirmed.
