omidbasir- On Friday evening, PSV Eindhoven, currently at the top of the Eredivisie, failed to extend their impressive away streak, suffering a painful 2-1 defeat at the hands of FC Volendam.

Coach Peter Bosz expressed concern over the team’s lack of depth during the match. PSV displayed a commendable performance in the first half but missed opportunities to take the lead. A stunning goal by Robin van Cruijsen put Volendam ahead at 1-0. Bosz remarked to ESPN, “At that moment, we should have responded and placed the ball back in the center.”

Following halftime, PSV struggled to maintain their momentum. “We still had significant chances, and the first half was good, but we faltered on the final ball. The substitutes brought in after the break were players with depth, which was something we lacked,” he added.

Football analyst Kenneth Perez criticized PSV’s decision-making, noting that the team fell short of their potential. “PSV played through the motions but made extremely poor choices in the final third regarding creating space for each other and finishing,” he stated. Although PSV managed to equalize at one point, Perez noted, “You start to think, okay, maybe a 1-1 could turn into a 2-1 victory for PSV. But that was not the case.”
