PSV Faces Departure of Rising Star Dele ThomasPSV Faces Departure of Rising Star Dele Thomas

It increasingly appears that PSV may need to accept the impending departure of Dele Thomas. The winger was a revelation in the youth team prior to the winter break, but is showing little inclination towards extending his contract in North Brabant.

Dele Thomas is leaning towards a lucrative contract with RB Leipzig.

For months, PSV has been attempting to secure a longer commitment from the speedy winger. Following interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig has now also expressed a desire to bring him to Germany. Last summer, Leipzig had already inquired about PSV’s Johan Bakayoko, offering over twenty million euros.

Is he better than Hadj Moussa?

Hans Kraaij Jr. previously remarked about Thomas: “I have been very impressed by an eighteen-year-old left winger from PSV, Dele Thomas. He has been part of Feyenoord’s youth academy and played in the Under-18s last season. He is a bold left winger who attacks directly; defenders have a hard time dealing with that. He possesses pace and often drives to the outside with his right foot. Hadj Moussa could take a lesson from him by going outside more often. He has a ‘Piet Keizer’ scissors move, for those of us who remember. He is incredibly audacious, fast, and always active.”
