PSV Eindhoven has decided to retain Ricardo Pepi for the time being, but it is widely expected that the American striker will depart next summer. As a potential successor, the club is reportedly considering Joshua Zirkzee.

Suleyman Öztürk expressed strong support for Zirkzee’s fit at PSV during the Deadline Show on Voetbal International. He noted, “Jerdy Schouten made a successful transition from Bologna to PSV and has flourished there. This has been the case for several players at PSV. Zirkzee is a striker who has demonstrated substantial potential at Bologna, especially when utilized in a specific role—as a sort of 9.5. I believe Zirkzee is a player who would fit well under Peter Bosz.”

In the Transfermind podcast by SoccerNews, transfer journalist Mounir Boualin mentioned that it is not out of the question for PSV to make another attempt to sign Zirkzee, although he added a cautionary note: “There is a significant question mark regarding this possibility.” Zirkzee has also attracted interest from clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
