PSV Targets Additional Striker Amid Injury ConcernsPSV Targets Additional Striker Amid Injury Concerns

PSV aims to strengthen its squad this winter by acquiring an additional striker. Due to several injuries, Guus Til is currently the sole viable option for manager Peter Bosz in the forward position. In the podcast ‘Transfermind’ by SoccerNews, potential reinforcements for the Eindhoven club are being discussed, including names such as Joshua Zirkzee and Thijs Dallinga.

In the quest for an extra attacker, various names have surfaced. Tobias Lauritsen has also been mentioned as a potentially interesting option for PSV. The tall striker has been impressing at Sparta Rotterdam for several seasons and will be out of contract after this season. However, the Spangenaren have no intention of letting their top scorer go this winter. According to transfer journalist Mounir Boualin, Lauritsen is not among the top candidates for PSV’s reinforcement.

The situation becomes even more complex with the involvement of Oranje internationals. Besides Lauritsen, names like Memphis, Zirkzee, and Dallinga are also being considered. Boualin indicates, “All of these players will certainly be on the list in Eindhoven, albeit with significant uncertainty. If Ismael Saibari returns from the Africa Cup, Peter Bosz may opt to play Til as the striker, with Saibari positioned behind him. Consequently, any striker they acquire must be prepared to accept that they may not be an immediate starter. The chemistry between Til and Saibari has been exceptional, and Bosz may be reluctant to disrupt that dynamic for a new addition.”
