Pulisic Returns to Training After Injury Milan s Star Eyes Serie A ClashPulisic Returns to Training After Injury Milan s Star Eyes Serie A Clash

Christian Pulisic has been sidelined for the past three weeks due to a lower leg injury sustained during the U.S. Men’s National Team’s friendly victory over Australia. The injury occurred after a heavy tackle from behind, resulting in a hamstring issue that kept him out of action. However, he returned to training with AC Milan this week, and coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed on Friday that he would be available for limited playing time.

Pulisic’s return to the pitch had a mixed outcome. He entered the game with the score tied, as Milan aimed to regain their lead after allowing a 2-0 advantage to slip against struggling Parma. Shortly after his introduction, he was presented with a prime opportunity to score when Rafa Leao set him up on goal, but he missed the target by a yard. Nevertheless, Pulisic continued to contribute and nearly registered an assist. A deft pivot and well-timed pass created space for Alexis Saelemaekers, who was left one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, Saelemaekers misfired, sending his shot over the bar after failing to round the keeper.

This appearance comes shortly after U.S. manager Mauricio Pochettino announced the squad for upcoming friendlies, which did not include Pulisic. There had been speculation about his potential recovery in time to represent the national team against Paraguay and Uruguay; however, Milan opted to prioritize his gradual return to fitness.

With the international break now underway, Pulisic has the opportunity to fully recuperate. The club’s next match is not until November 23, when they will face city rivals Inter Milan in a crucial Serie A clash. Currently, Milan sits at the top of the Serie A table.
