Quilindschy Hartman Decides Against Transfer to Ajax

Quilindschy Hartman appeared to be on the verge of a transfer to Ajax this winter, but ultimately decided against it. On Tuesday, Ajax was anticipated to engage in new negotiations with both Burnley and the player himself, as reported by Mike Verweij in a video segment for De Telegraaf.

Initially, Hartman seemed receptive to a potential (temporary) move to Amsterdam. However, his strong ties to Feyenoord compelled him to decline the opportunity. Verweij stated, “I have heard from multiple sources within Ajax that he had clearly indicated he was open to Ajax. However, that sentiment may have changed under pressure from numerous upset Feyenoord fans. Those are heartfelt feelings, but they ultimately do not hold weight in professional football. A player should be able to transfer from Club A to Club B without such hindrances.”
