Quinten Timber has expressed his dissatisfaction with Robin van Persie. Following the home defeat against Sparta Rotterdam (3-4), the midfielder launched a pointed critique of the struggling Feyenoord coach.

Timber made his appearance against the rival team only after seventy minutes. “I happened to read what was said prior to the match,” the Oranje international stated in an interview with ESPN. “I find it unfortunate that things have to unfold this way. This has happened a few times before where the coach has not protected a player, and in this case, it happened to me. There is a limit.”

It seems that the relationship between Timber and Van Persie is irreparably damaged. However, this does not appear to concern the midfielder as he is likely to leave the club. “I have always said that we are looking for the best outcome for both parties. Ideally, I do not want to leave the club without compensation, which increases the likelihood of my departure now. You never know what may happen, but my intention has always been to ensure the club is not left without financial benefit.”
