Quinten Timber s Departure from Feyenoord Appears ImminentQuinten Timber s Departure from Feyenoord Appears Imminent

Quinten Timber is unlikely to continue playing for Feyenoord after this season. According to a report from De Telegraaf on Friday morning, the midfielder is no longer in discussions with the Rotterdam club regarding a new contract. This development indicates that a departure is forthcoming, as Timber reportedly aims for a transition to the Premier League.

A winter transfer could be on the horizon.

Despite Timber’s earlier statements this week indicating ongoing negotiations and acknowledging the possibility of a winter exit, the morning newspaper suggests the situation is quite different. “The reality is that Timber is not in talks with Feyenoord anymore,” it states.

A winter departure may be the best option for both parties.

Earlier, SoccerNews transfer journalist Mounir Boualin expressed in Transfermind his belief that a winter exit for Timber is likely. “Yes, I think so. If a contract extension were on the table, it would have already been made public,” Boualin noted. “He is going to leave; whether this winter or in the summer is yet to be seen. I believe it would be best for everyone involved if he were to leave this winter. It’s evident that the relationship between Timber and Feyenoord, as well as with Van Persie, has reached its end.”
