Raúl Moro appears to be on the verge of leaving Ajax after just six months, with a potential return to Spain to join Osasuna in the works.

According to multiple sources, including Voetbal International and well-informed journalist Matteo Moretto, Ajax had aimed to bring Moro to Amsterdam for some time. The club finally secured his transfer last summer for a fee of eleven million euros. However, Moro has not made the expected impact at Ajax and quickly lost his starting position.

In a recent episode of SoccerNews’ Transfermind, presenter Daan Jurgers raised the question of whether Ajax should consider keeping Moro, especially with rumors of a Spanish coach potentially joining the team. Transfers specialist Mounir Boualin responded, noting, “Given what I have observed of him so far, I don’t find it particularly impressive. Therefore, I can understand Ajax’s inclination to sell him if a good offer comes in, as it seems to be a mismatch. Selling would indeed be preferable to a loan with an option to buy, as they might as well retain him until the summer.”
