According to Sport Bild, RB Leipzig defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu will remain with the club during the winter transfer window, despite interest from Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Leeds. Although the 20-year-old has only made five competitive appearances this season, the Bundesliga team has no intention of selling him.

In contrast, Bitshiabu’s compatriot, Castello Lukeba, may be on the move this summer.

As for Leipzig’s defensive lineup, veteran German-Hungarian central defender Willi Orban, now 33 years old, is expected to leave the club once his contract expires in 2027. Additionally, former German international Lukas Klostermann is past his prime and is not receiving significant playing time.

A thigh injury had sidelined Bitshiabu for a considerable portion of the autumn season. However, now that the former PSG academy player has returned to fitness, Leipzig anticipates that he will apply pressure on his teammates in the coming year and compete for a starting position. The promising young talent is valued at €15 million, and Leipzig is keen to retain him.
