RCD Mallorca Faces €20,000 Fine for Supporting Radical Fans

omidbasir- The State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sports has recommended a fine of €20,000 for RCD Mallorca due to their support for radical fans.

According to a report prepared by the National Sports Office (OND) of the National Police, the Balearic club granted a prominent role in the cheering section at the Son Moix Stadium to a key member of the Supporters Mallorca group.

RCD Mallorca assigned this supporter the responsibility of managing the podium in that section of the stands, as well as the only authorized sound system, thus enhancing his leadership image among fans. The club itself identified this individual as a member of Supporters Mallorca in a communication sent to the OND last September.

The State Commission has classified these actions as a serious infringement under Law 19/2007, enacted on July 11, which addresses violence, racism, xenophobia, and intolerance in sports. This marks the third proposed sanction of this nature for RCD Mallorca since the end of 2023.
