Real Betis Prepares for Upcoming Match Against OviedoReal Betis Prepares for Upcoming Match Against Oviedo

Following a closed training session yesterday afternoon, which was not attended by media, the first team of Real Betis resumed their weekly training at Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol on Wednesday. They are already focused on their upcoming match this Saturday at Carlos Tartiere, where they will conclude the first half of the league season against Oviedo.

The training session saw no significant changes in player availability. Isco Alarcón remains sidelined after undergoing surgery at the end of December. Bakambu, who was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations with the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday, has yet to return to Seville. Additionally, Amrabat and Abde are still participating with the Moroccan national team in the African tournament. To address these four absences, coach Manuel Pellegrini has called up two youth players, Corralejo and Dani Pérez.

Chimy Ávila, whose future appears to be away from Betis in this winter transfer market due to strong interest from Getafe, continues to train with the team while awaiting resolution of Getafe’s financial conflict with LaLiga regarding salary limits. The team will practice again tomorrow at 10:30 AM, and will hold its final training session of the week on Friday before traveling to Asturias for their match in the 19th round of the championship.
