Real Oviedo Contesting Suspension of Match Against Rayo VallecanoReal Oviedo Contesting Suspension of Match Against Rayo Vallecano

omidbasir- Two days after formally requesting the Royal Spanish Football Federation for the three points from the match suspended last Saturday against Rayo Vallecano, Real Oviedo has already ruled out the possibility of the match being rescheduled in the coming days.

The Single Competition Judge has provided an initial official response, and although no resolution has been reached, it has called upon the involved parties—Rayo Vallecano, LaLiga, RFEF, and CTA—to submit their respective allegations and reports regarding the incident.

“Real Oviedo, now awaiting further developments, will continue with the necessary steps in defense of its rights and those of its fans, as well as advocating for respect for the regulatory framework and equitable application of the rules for all participating teams in the competition,” stated the Asturian club.

Following the suspension by LaLiga on Sunday, citing the poor condition of the pitch in Vallecas, Real Oviedo expressed its intention to pursue all competitive and disciplinary bodies within the RFEF, and if necessary, to escalate the matter to administrative and judicial authorities, to protect its rights and the legitimate interests of its supporters.

Furthermore, the club has established an official channel for affected fans to register their incurred expenses due to the match suspension, with the aim of claiming accountability from the relevant authorities and addressing the financial repercussions suffered by the blue supporters.
