The Real Sociedad football team will conduct double training sessions today, both in the morning and afternoon, following their first practice yesterday under the guidance of new coach Pellegrino Matarazzo. Acknowledging the urgency to secure victories, Matarazzo has scheduled seven training sessions over the next six days in preparation for their LaLiga debut against Atlético de Madrid on Sunday at 21:00 at Anoeta. Additionally, the squad will forgo their usual weekly rest day.

Matarazzo led his inaugural training session yesterday, and today’s schedule includes sessions at 11:00 and 15:00. It remains to be seen whether this is a strategy to maximize time or part of his standard training routine. Moving forward, the new players will train each morning from 11:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, culminating in a total of seven sessions within six days, with no rest days planned.

All remaining training sessions will be closed to the public, returning to the customary approach adopted by the club in recent years. However, yesterday’s session was open to fans, particularly aimed at allowing younger supporters the opportunity to see the players in person.
