Richarlison Out with Injury Tottenham s Upcoming ChallengesRicharlison Out with Injury Tottenham s Upcoming Challenges

Richarlison, who transferred to Tottenham Hotspur from Everton in the summer of 2022, has been ruled out for an estimated seven weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old forward currently leads Spurs as their top scorer this season, having netted seven goals in 21 Premier League appearances.

As Tottenham prepares for a London derby against West Ham on Saturday at 15:00 GMT, they find themselves in a challenging position, having secured only one victory in their last seven matches across all competitions. Recently, they suffered an exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Aston Villa and currently sit 14th in the Premier League standings.

Fortunately, midfielders Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma have returned to fitness, while full-back Destiny Udogie and striker Dominic Solanke are also expected to be available for the match against West Ham.

In a positive development, Spurs have signed England midfielder Conor Gallagher, 25, from Atletico Madrid for £35 million. Manager Thomas Frank has praised Gallagher as a “top signing” who fulfills a critical need for the team.

“First and foremost, he is a very good player with extensive experience in the Premier League and La Liga, and has captained teams,” Frank stated. “His character, leadership, and experience are invaluable, while he remains young with significant potential for further development. He brings pressing abilities, direct play, goal-scoring talents, and an ability to find advantageous positions on the pitch.”

Additionally, Tottenham announced the appointment of former Netherlands and Everton defender John Heitinga as an assistant coach on Thursday.
