Wolves made an approach to speak with Edwards, which was rejected by Middlesbrough on Thursday. Subsequently, Edwards engaged in discussions with the club’s management on Friday. Notably, Edwards did not conduct his pre-match press conference and was absent from the final training session prior to the match against Birmingham.
