Ron Jans Aims for Improved Performance with FC UtrechtRon Jans Aims for Improved Performance with FC Utrecht

Ron Jans is looking to achieve better results with FC Utrecht following the winter break. The head coach, who will officially step down at the end of the season, is also counting on Sébastien Haller to contribute positively.

Sébastien Haller has been facing challenges at FC Utrecht since his permanent return in the summer, with results not meeting expectations. In an interview with De Telegraaf, Jans expressed concern: “He has been somewhat of a worry, particularly for himself. He experienced a significant mental setback because he truly wanted to participate in the Africa Cup.”

This season, FC Utrecht has not reached the necessary competitive level. Jans commented, “At one point, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Everything was going well until early August. There was talk of the ‘Ron Jans graveyard,’ and I thought to myself: ‘this cannot be sustained.’ Now, due to injuries and the demands of European football, we find ourselves in this situation.”
