Ron Jans Considers Future in Football Post RetirementRon Jans Considers Future in Football Post Retirement

Ron Jans has recently indicated that he will be retiring as a football coach after this season, but he is cautiously reconsidering his decision. In an interview with Voetbal International, he leaves the door ajar for a potential coaching role with the Dutch national team. The 67-year-old coach will conclude his tenure at FC Utrecht at the end of this season.

Last week, Jans announced his plans to step away from coaching, expressing eagerness for retirement to spend more time with family and friends. “I have never hidden the fact that the desire to retire has been growing over the past few years. I have a fantastic job, and I thoroughly enjoy my time at FC Utrecht. However, one realizes that you are not in control of time,” he shared on the club’s official channels a few days ago.

When asked by Voetbal International about the possibility of taking on the role of coach for the Dutch national team, Jans responded, “Perhaps only if there is a tournament and a country is looking for a coach for six weeks, haha. That would be appealing to me.” He concluded, “I would like to keep that option open, but I genuinely believe I will retire as a coach.”
