Ronaldo and Beckham A Playful Exchange on Fame and FitnessRonaldo and Beckham A Playful Exchange on Fame and Fitness

Cristiano Ronaldo engaged in a candid conversation with journalist Piers Morgan earlier this month, reflecting on his illustrious career, future prospects, and more. During this extensive dialogue, the iconic footballer also touched upon his fellow sports star, David Beckham, who is 50 years old and previously played for Manchester United and Real Madrid.

When asked to compare the attractiveness of himself and Beckham, Ronaldo did not hold back. “His face is beautiful, yes, he’s a handsome man,” he said. “The rest, though, is quite ordinary. I, on the other hand, am not normal; I am perfect. For me, being good-looking encompasses more than just the face—it’s the complete package. Picture Cristiano next to an average guy in red speedos on Copacabana; do you really think I wouldn’t stand out?”

Regarding who would attract more attention on the Copacabana beach, Ronaldo confidently asserted, “Me, 100 percent.” He added, “Beckham looks good, and I like him; he’s articulate and a likable person.”

Ronaldo further proclaimed himself as possibly the most famous individual globally. “Let’s debate it: Who is more famous, me or President Donald Trump? I’d wager that even on the most remote islands, people know me better than him,” he stated.

In a playful response to Ronaldo’s comments about Beckham, 20-year-old Cruz Beckham shared a side-by-side image comparing his father at 20 with Ronaldo at the same age. In the juxtaposition, Beckham appeared to hold an edge in the looks department.

A few months shy of his 50th birthday, Beckham graced the cover of Men’s Health, where he disclosed his enduring fitness regimen, which includes push-ups and pull-ups. He admitted that he used to despise pull-ups, managing only a couple at most. “Bob [Rich, his trainer] decided we should focus on these exercises. I hated them, yet now we incorporate them into our routine almost daily. I never had much definition in my chest until I met Bob, and I’ve certainly made some gains since then.”

As Beckham maintains his fitness focus, he also prepares for Inter Miami’s Major League Soccer Eastern Conference final against New York City, where Lionel Messi will take the spotlight once more. Meanwhile, Ronaldo aims for a victory with his Al-Nassr team against Istiklol in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.
