Ruben Amorim Recognized as Premier League Manager of the Month

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has achieved the prestigious title of Premier League Manager of the Month for October, marking his first time receiving this distinction.

Taking the helm in November 2024, Amorim guided his team to three significant top-flight victories last month, alleviating some of the pressure that arose from a sluggish start to the season.

United commenced October with a win against Sunderland, followed by a historic victory at Liverpool—marking their first triumph at Anfield since January 2016. The team then triumphed over Brighton with a score of 4-2.

“The credit is not mine; it belongs to my players,” stated Amorim, reflecting on the achievements of his team this month. He acknowledged their efforts, emphasizing that the ultimate goal remains to secure further victories, which would potentially lead to more accolades.

This marks the first time a Manchester United manager has received the award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023. Amorim’s side faced a challenging match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, November 1, resulting in a draw, and they currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League standings.

Additionally, United forward Bryan Mbeumo has been recognized as the Player of the Month for October, having contributed three goals and an assist during the team’s successful run.
