Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, has been honored with the Premier League Manager of the Month award for October, marking his inaugural win of this distinction. Since taking charge of the club in November 2024, Amorim has guided his team to three vital victories last month, successfully alleviating the pressure that had built up following a sluggish start to the season. United kicked off October with a solid win against Sunderland, followed by a historic triumph at Liverpool— their first victory at Anfield since January 2016—and concluded the month with a 4-2 victory over Brighton. In response to the accolade, Amorim credited his players, stating, “The credit is not mine; it belongs to my players. They performed exceptionally well, and our objective is to win the next award, as it signifies our success in football matches, which is our primary goal.” This recognition marks the first time a Manchester United manager has received the award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023. Following a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest in their most recent match on November 1, United currently sits in eighth place in the Premier League standings. Additionally, United forward Bryan Mbeumo was awarded the Player of the Month for October, having contributed three goals and one assist in the team’s three victories.
