Allan Saint-Maximin has officially exited Club América after revealing on social media that his children experienced a racist incident.

In an emotional message on his Instagram stories, Saint-Maximin emphasized, “The problem is not skin color; it’s the color of people’s thoughts. People attack me, but I have grown up and learned to stand against such attacks, whether they are subtle, hidden, or direct. However, I will never tolerate any attacks against my children.”

He further stated, “My children’s protection is my utmost priority, and I will fight with every ounce of strength to ensure they are respected and loved, irrespective of their origins or skin color. Hatred and discrimination have no place in our society.”

Sources have informed GOAL that Saint-Maximin requested his departure from the club following this incident, which he condemned publicly through a powerful message denouncing racism and pledging to safeguard his family.

“I want people to understand that every individual is unique and deserving of respect and dignity. I aspire for my children to grow up in a world where they can be themselves, free from the absurd and meaningless behaviors that only serve to divide us,” he added.

Saint-Maximin concluded with a strong warning to those who targeted his children: “You have made a mistake. I will always fight to protect my family, and no individual or threat will intimidate me. The only one I fear is God. You have a voice now, so come and confront me.”

While specific details of the incident remain undisclosed, his message garnered significant attention and support from the public.

Club América confirmed his departure shortly after their 2-0 victory over Necaxa, extending best wishes for his future endeavors. During this match, players showed solidarity by entering the pitch with a banner stating, “No to racism.”

Additionally, reports from TUDN suggest that underlying tensions with head coach André Jardine may have contributed to the swift conclusion of his contract. Saint-Maximin was completely omitted from the matchday squad, and a direct disagreement with the coach reportedly exacerbated the rift, prompting him to seek immediate termination of his contract.

Despite the unexpected exit, Saint-Maximin took to social media to express his gratitude, reposting the club’s farewell message and stating, “América, thank you for everything. I love you all.”
